Good news for fans eagerly awaiting images of Joker 2Lady Gaga announced on the social network X that the first trailer will reach the public next Tuesday, April 9th.
The actress and director Todd Phillips also released a new poster for the production. The film is the continuation of the 2019 success, which had Joaquin Phoenix in the central role. The performance won him the Oscar for best actor.

“The World is a Stage,” wrote the actress and pop star when revealing the image. The poster shows the actress and actor Joaquin Phoenix wearing clown makeup as they dance. Gaga and the filmmaker have been keeping fans informed about the filming for several months. The last update made by the director was on Valentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day in the United States. Todd Phillips also directed the original film, released in 2019.

The actor returns to play the character five years after receiving Hollywood’s biggest award for his work. Lady Gaga plays psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel, later known in the world of crime as Harley Quinn. Previously, actress Margot Robbie played the character in several productions for the cinema.
The psychiatrist played by Lady Gaga meets Arthur Flack at the Arkham mental hospital. Flack is one of the patients, but the two end up falling in love and she ends up joining her lover in the world of crime. The plot is closer to the original story of the comic books from the publisher DC Comics. It’s a relationship in which she is mistreated by Arthur, but always ends up going back to him. In a story released in 1999, Batman: Harley Quinn, the Joker decides to kill his girlfriend. When explaining the reason, he says that he really loves her, but that this feeling prevents him from reaching his potential.
