Fernando Seara, president of the Board of the General Assembly of Benfica, left an appeal to the fans of the Luz team, regarding the duel this Thursday afternoon in Glasgow against Rangers in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Present in the Scottish city, the Benfica director asked for “impeccable behavior” from the red supporters, remembering that the eagles are in a “unique situation under UEFA’s discipline”.
“This is a request from the citizen and partner Fernando Seara. I want to continue in Europe, the team wants to continue in Europe, but I want to continue in Europe with Benfiquistas, with Portuguese, in all the stadiums in Europe in the future. This is very important. We are in a unique situation regarding UEFA’s discipline. And UEFA’s discipline is firm and draconian”, began by saying Fernando Seara, in statements made to BTV.
“Therefore, I make an appeal from here to all Benfica members who are in Glasgow or nearby Glasgow. We must have the ability to show our love for the Club, and love for the Club means impeccable behavior, fundamentally for the following: I I want to continue to see scarves, strength, faith, the shout, ‘Carreg, Benfica!’, our anthem, in every stadium. And that’s what I ask of them. The team will be with us, it’s important for us to be with the team , because a team with fans is a team with more strength”, he concluded.
