In April, we will have a duel between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League. This is what dictated, this Friday, the draw for the quarter-finals of the main European club competition, with the game between the Spanish and the English, an authentic anticipated final, being the highlight of the balls taken in Nyon. There will certainly be a great candidate for victory to fall even before the semi-finals.

There will also be a presumably rich PSG-Barcelona and a duel between Atlético and Dortmund that guarantees that there will be a team theoretically less strong than others in the competition.

Another very relevant curiosity is that the semi-final pairing stipulated that a team that has not been strong in recent years will be in the Champions League final, as the winner of Atlético-Dortmund will face the winner of PSG-Barcelona. Consequently, City, Real and Bayern are on the same side of the table. – only one will go to the final.

This time, unlike in other phases and other events, what happened in Nyon, in Western Switzerland, can even be called a draw – without quotation marks. There were no restrictions on the drawing of the balls, so there was free and completely random pairing, even between teams from the same country or clubs that have already faced each other in this edition of the Champions League. Each two balls taken corresponded to a game, with the first of them being the team visited in the first leg. Simple.

The first leg matches will be played on the 9th and 10th of April and the second will be on the 16th and 17th. The semi-finals are scheduled for May and the final will be on the 1st of June, at Wembley.
