Since May 2022, Correios de Portugal shares have not been worth as much.

CTT rose 9.79% on the stock market this Wednesday morningafter having reported profits of 60.5 million euros, 66.2% (24.1 million) more than in the previous year and having proposed an increase in the dividend to 17 cents per share.

The shares trade, at 11:20 am, at 3.925 euros, with trading volume almost 30 times higher than the average for this time of day, according to data from Bloomberg. Since May 9, 2022, CTT shares have not been worth that much.

Operating results, the company led by João Bento also states, reached 985.2 million euros, 7.8% more (78.6 million) compared to the same period last year. This result is leveraged, first of all, by the Express and Parcels segment, which, riding on the performance in Spain, grew by 81.6 million euros, to 340.6 million, an increase of 31.5%.

The behavior was such in the fourth quarter (+55.9% of revenue compared to the same period in 2022 and 70.7% more traffic) that, For the first time in CTT’s history, this segment overtook mail and others in revenue leadership — and also in recurring EBIT (operating results).
