Kris Meeke / Stuart Loudon (Hyundai I20 Rally2) did not start the Rali Terras Dáboboreira well as they rolled over right at the start of the Qualyfing Stage.
A setback for the Hyundai duo, so they will almost certainly be the first to hit the road sooner, which on a stretch of almost 17 km will make some difference, especially compared to the ‘world champions’. With some surprise, but not so much, compared to what they did in Fafe, Rúben Rodrigues / António Costa (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) were fifth and the best Portuguese, ahead of another ‘world champion’, Marco Bulacia / Diego Vallejo (Citroën C3 Rally2 ) with Armindo Araújo / Luís Ramalho (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) soon to follow. Jan Solans / Rodrigo Sanjuan (Toyota Yaris Rally2) were eighth and closing the top 10 were Ricardo Teodósio / José Teixeira (Hyundai I20 Rally2) and Pedro Meireles / Ricardo Cunha (Hyundai I20 N Rally2) ahead of José Pedro Fontes / Inês Ponte (Citroën C3 Rally2).
They were followed by Alexander Villanueva / Jose Murado (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), Pedro Almeida / Mário Castro (Škoda Fabia Evo Rally2) were sixth best in the CPR, ahead of João Barros / Jorge Henriques (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5), Ernesto Cunha / Rui Raimundo (Škoda Fabia R5 Evo), Rui Madeira / Nuno Rodrigues Da Silva (Ford Fiesta MKII Rally2), Lucas Simões / Valter Cardoso (Ford Fiesta R5 Mk II), Paulo Neto / Nuno Mota Ribeiro (Škoda Fabia R5 Evo) and Ricardo Filipe / Filipe Carvalho (Škoda Fabia R5).
Gonçalo Henriques / Gonçalo Cunha (Renault Clio Rally4) beat Hugo Lopes / Magda Oliveira (Peugeot 208 Rally4), these being the two best in the 2RM.
