The new version maintains the spirit of its predecessors, which means a 10.4″ inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels and the functionality to use the S Pen. The battery continues to be one of the biggest highlights, with a massive 7040 mAh. The tablet is available in LTE versions (with access to 4G networks) and Wi-Fi only.
Important change? Updated processor
Although Samsung does not explicitly say so, it seems that the big update of this new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is in the processor. An octa-core processor (8 cores) with frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz should give life to this new version, most likely the Exynos 1280. In terms of memory, the base model maintains 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, although there is a possibility that a version with 128GB of storage will arrive later.
Fortunately, Samsung decided to move directly to Android 14 with the One UI 6.1 GUI, unlike the 2022 model that came out with Android 12.
Generous battery and price are the unknowns
Regarding battery life, Samsung’s promises are generous — up to 14 hours of video playback and between 12 and 13 hours of online browsing. Unfortunately, there is still no information on charging speed, but given the history with mid-range tablets, it is not expected to exceed 25W.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 comes in Gray and Mint Green, but only with the 4GB/64GB option. Prices are also, for now, a mystery, for both the Wi-Fi and LTE versions. We can only wait for the next few days to find out if Samsung will expand the launch of this tablet to other regions and finally reveal the prices.
