Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) is the new electric scooter arriving in Europe

Xiaomi has launched the new version of its popular electric scooter, the Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen), in France. There are plans for availability in other European countries, such as Spain and Sweden and (we hope) Portugal.

This new scooter is already available in detail on Xiaomi’s global website. This is a new model that maintains several features of its 2023 predecessor, but introduces improvements for better quality use.

The Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) features an increased battery capacity that extends its autonomy beyond the previous model. It can reach a maximum speed of 25km/h and has three speed modes.

Range of up to 25 km

One of these new modes is walking to make manual transport easier. The 300W electric motor remains unchanged, with the maximum power output being slightly reduced to 390W. The scooter now has a range of 25km, approximately 25% more than the 20km range of the previous model.

This model is equipped with a 9,600 mAh battery that requires eight hours to fully charge. Includes E-ABS, drum brakes, 10-inch tires and headlights for added safety.

The scooter’s built-in screen shows speed and battery status, which can also be monitored via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. The new version weighs 16.2kg, which is a slight increase compared to its predecessor. And it continues to support a maximum load of 100kg.

Prices and availability

The Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) is priced at €299 and is now available in France, with similar prices to be expected in other markets, such as Portugal. Details about availability and pricing in other European countries will be announced soon.
