Even though the foldable smartphone segment has solidified its position in the market, Apple continues to show some resistance and hesitation in embarking on this adventure.

According to the latest rumors, we may have to wait another two years to see the brand’s first foldable devices, which will be an iPhone and a MacBook.

The information comes from International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, who says that Apple is working on both devices simultaneously. The well-known analyst also says that the foldable MacBook could arrive with a 20.3-inch screen.

Jeff Pu goes even further and reveals the production schedule for these two pieces of equipment. The first to enter the mass production phase will be the foldable MacBook at the end of next year, 2025.

For the first foldable iPhone, Apple enthusiasts will have to wait even longer. The International Securities analyst guarantees that the model will only enter the mass production phase at the end of 2026.

Doing some quick calculations, this schedule suggests that the 20-inch foldable MacBook could be launched between 2026 and 2027 while the foldable iPhone will only hit the market in 2027 or later.

The analyst also believes that these two devices will constitute a new line of products for the brand that will target an ultra-premium segment in the future.
