In the United States, fast food is normally an economical option for a quick meal, although, in recent years, the option doesn’t seem that much cheaper, with a combo of hamburger, soda and potatoes costing almost US$20, around R$99 reais at the current price. .

A photograph and video published on Instagram made this value seem even more absurd. Canadian photographer Chris Luckhardt traveled to Adak Island, Alaska, where he discovered an abandoned McDonald’s and recorded a menu from the restaurant that hadn’t been touched since 1994.

According to the prices listed on the old menu, um Big Mac cost US$ 2.45 individually (R$ 12.18) and US$ 4.59 (R$ 22.82) in the combo. A six-piece McNuggets cost US$2.35 (R$11.68) and a Happy Meal cost US$3.36 (R$16.71).
