Truck driver Thiago Borges Machado, 42 years old, murdered on Friday night (15), in Bayeux, was allegedly killed by mistake, according to witnesses who were at the scene. As ClickPB reported, the victim’s father and wife are already in João Pessoa to release the body that is in the Executive Management of Forensic Medicine and Dentistry (Gemol).
In an interview with TV Arapuan, this Saturday (16), the truck driver’s father said he had heard from witnesses that the criminals had left the place shouting that they had “got the wrong person”, after firing the shots that killed Thiago. He was born in Santa Catarina, but the family currently lived in Fortaleza.
Truck driver had three children
The truck driver had three children, the youngest was less than three years old. His father and wife reported that he was a worker and had no involvement in the world of crime. In the interview, they revealed that they had spoken to Thiago yesterday, as he used to give his family news every day when he was traveling.
He was traveling for work and stopped at a restaurant in Bayeux to have dinner with four friends. When they were at one of the tables placed on the sidewalk, two men on a motorcycle approached and one of them fired six shots into the back of the victim who died at the scene.
The police evaluate images from security cameras from local businesses to try to identify the criminals.
