According to the police chief, the family rented a house on Ervino beach to spend the weekend. “The shower was on the cold setting, the girl went to take a shower and climbed onto the toilet to change the position of the clock,” he explained.

According to Estuqui, it appears that the child lost his balance on top of the vase, which tipped over and broke. She fell into the wreckage and suffered a cut under her armpit.

The coroner informed him that the cause of death was hemorrhage, caused by excessive blood loss. “What happened there was a tragedy,” said the police chief.

Girl was rescued, but didn’t survive

At around 8pm, the Military Fire Department was called to respond to the incident. At the scene, they found the child unconscious and with a wound in the right armpit area.

Firefighters carried out resuscitation procedures from the house to Nossa Senhora da Graça Hospital, but without success. The death was confirmed by rescuers and medical staff.
