The princess of Welsh, Kate Middleton, announced that she has cancer. She made the announcement this Friday, 22, in a video posted on social media.
Currently, the princess is undergoing chemotherapy.

Kate Middleton said she was diagnosed in tests carried out after abdominal surgery in January. The type of cancer she faces was not specified.
“It was a very difficult two months for the family,” said the princess, in a statement. “But there is a fantastic medical team that has been taking care of me, and I am very grateful.”
The princess explained that she underwent preventive chemotherapy and is in the early stages of treatment. Kate Middleton also said that she is doing well.

“As you can imagine, this takes time,” said the princess. “I needed time to recover from my surgery and begin my treatment, but even more importantly, it took time for us to explain to George, Charlotte and Louis [os filhos dela]in a way that is appropriate for them, and assure them that I will be okay.”
She also thanked her fans and her husband, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis, for their support.
“Having William by my side was a way of comforting me,” said Kate Middleton. “As is the love, support and kindness so many of you have shown. This means a lot to us.”
Kate Middleton’s health was the subject of speculation
After the surgery in January, Kate Middleton’s health status was the subject of strong speculation in the British media. At the time, the princess received medical advice to stay at home and away from official events.
Kate Middleton’s “disappearance” became a conspiracy theory on social media. Internet users claimed that the princess had separated from William. Therefore, Kate decided to speak out and asked for privacy at this moment.
“We hope you understand that as a family we need space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” said the princess, in a video. “My work has always given me happiness, and I want to return as soon as I can. But right now, I need to focus on recovering fully.”

Kate Middleton preferred not to say which part of the body the cancer is in or what type of tumor it is. She ended the video with a message of hope for people facing the disease.
“At this moment, I think of everyone whose lives have been affected by cancer,” said the princess. “In everyone who faces this disease, in any form, do not lose hope or faith. You are not alone.”
