Bus suffers accident, has a destroyed front end and goes to the garage without a trailer; see video

A bus that runs on municipal lines in Rio was spotted traveling normally, even after being destroyed in an accident. The images were recorded this Sunday, at the Gasometer Viaduct, next to the Bus Station. According to RioÔnibus, the bus was heading to the garage after a collision on the Red Line and the justification for not being towed was that, “despite the damage, the mechanical part was not affected”. Due to what happened, the Municipal Department of Transport (SMTR) informs that it will officiate the consortium to provide clarifications.

The video, shared on social media, shows the group with a broken rear window and an object, apparently made of iron, hanging. But it is necessary to watch the images until the end to see that one of the windows was broken and that the front part of the bus was completely destroyed. Watch the video until the end:

Even without the front door and without the entire windshield, the driver took the bus to the garage, located on Avenida Brasil, in Maré. According to RioÔnibus, the accident took place on the Red Line, at the height of the access loop to the Rio-Niterói Bridge and the Gasometer Viaduct.

From the place where it was filmed, where you can see the Gentileza Terminal in the background, it is about 5 kilometers to the garage, covered without the aid of trailers.

According to the SMTR GPS system, the vehicle from Real Auto Ônibus, a member of the Intersul Consortium, ran this Sunday on Line 100 (Troncal 1), which runs between Central do Brasil, in the Center, and Praça General Osório, in Ipanema, between 5am and 7:20am.

In previous days, there are records of this vehicle — order number A41464 — running on line 463 (São Cristóvão—Copacabana) on Saturday. On Friday, its operation was on lines 309 (Central—Recreio) and 463 (São Cristóvão—Copacabana), while on Thursday it ran on lines 309 (Central—Recreio), 315 (Central—Recreio via Linha Amarela) and 553/Integrada 8 (Rio Sul—Recreio).
