“I’m very happy, it’s my first world title and the realization of a big dream, which was to bring victory to Brazil for the Brazilian team abroad”, said Renato. The street sweeper stepped on international soil for the first time.

The achievement will be celebrated this Wednesday (27/3), in the Ceilândia Cleaning District. He will be welcomed by co-workers and employees of Sustentare Saneamento, the athlete’s official sponsor.

“He is an example of dedication and persistence for all of us. When Renato came to us to report his difficulties with covering the costs of training, registration in championships, tickets, accommodation, food, paid leave from work, uniforms, among others, we decided to support him in whatever was necessary to serve as a pillar in his aspirations. and his life goals, which have been achieved quickly”, said Rejane Costa, regional superintendent of Sustentare.
