PF targets for the death of Marielle Franco have received R$7 million in salaries since the murder

Marielle and driver Anderson Gomes were shot to death on March 14, 2018, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. The PF points to clear evidence of obstruction of investigations within the Rio Homicide Police Station, responsible for the investigation. The Brazão brothers and the police chief were arrested six years after the crime. Domingos Brazão’s base subsidy is R$39,717.68 per month. This March, the counselor also received R$15,816.49 in compensation, and was entitled to an additional R$25,059.94 in vacation. The counselor’s net remuneration, that is, after social security and income tax deductions, reached R$73,480.02 in a single month.

The Court of Auditors informed the Estadão that there is no definition as to whether the counselor will be removed from office again and whether he will continue to receive salaries. In January of this year, Domingos Brazão won the right to take 360 ​​days of vacation in cash, covering the period from 2017 to 2022, when he was away from the Court on charges of fraud and corruption. The benefit was granted at a session of the TCE Superior Board of Directors.

An advisor to Domingos Brazão, at the TCE, was the target of searches by the PF. Robson Calixto Fonseca, known as “Peixe”, is suspected of having been an intermediary in the connections between the perpetrators of the crimes and their respective principals”. The advisor has a commissioned position at the Court, for which he received R$263,000 between June 2023 and March this year. The gross salary reached R$27,600.
