An accident involving two trucks closed BR-376, in Guaratuba, at Km 666, this Thursday (28). The collision was recorded on the road towards Santa Catarina and completely blocked the highway. At this moment, one lane is open and two others remain closed to deal with the incident, according to the concessionaire Arteris Litoral Sul.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the collision was a side crash between two trucks. One of the vehicles was loaded with soybeans and the other was carrying a load of polyethylene resin – a material used to make pets. The load of resin was spread across the highway.
According to Arteris, the material does not pose any risk to the environment and the team had to apply limestone to the track due to an oil leak, to clear a lane. One person was slightly injured and was rescued.
The flow of vehicles is intense on federal highways due to Easter’s injuries.
