The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) launched the second phase of the Canto da Sereia operation and arrested a man, identified as Antônio Martins, 65 years old, accused of killing and charring the body of Glaudêncio Santos. The victim’s corpse was found on November 4 last year, in a wooded area of Parque Gatumê, on Quadra 427 in Samambaia Norte.
Over the course of more than three months, investigators from the 26th Police Station drew up a detailed line of investigation to reach the perpetrators of the crime. On February 7, a 20-year-old woman, identified as the organizer of the execution, was arrested. Investigations revealed that she was dating Antônio and began working as a call girl for Glaudêncio.
Glaudêncio was a “booker” of call girls. However, Antônio was unaware of his girlfriend’s work and, upon discovering her profession, demanded that the woman plan the victim’s death. The young woman lured Glaudêncio to the Samambaia dump under the pretext of making a religious offering. At the scene, Antônio was waiting for him with a firearm.
Execution
Before killing Glaudêncio, Antônio demanded that the victim “suck” the barrel of the firearm as a form of “punishment”. According to the chief deputy of the 26th DP, Gleyson Mascarenhas, the criminals’ plan was to dump Glaudêncio’s body in Lake Corumbá, in Goiás. But a fault in the car caused the killer to abort the idea and decide to kill the victim. right there, tying her to the tires and burning her while she was still alive
On Thursday (28/3), civil police officers tracked down Antônio, who had been reported as a fugitive since March. Upon learning of the possibility of being arrested, the author had abandoned the house where he lived and began moving between Ceilândia, Taguatinga and some cities in Goiás. On the respective date, the police received information that he had returned to Samambaia and went to the address to capture it.
During the execution of the arrest warrant, Antônio armed himself with a knife and stabbed himself in the neck and chest, with the intention of taking his own life. The teams intervened and managed to stop it. The suspect was taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and underwent medical care.
In Justice, Antônio has an extensive criminal record and is the author of 14 investigations. The first time he was arrested was in 1978.
