Shot in the back: MP operation arrests man involved in murder of man in the capital – Police

A man, involved in the murder of Thiago Lobo Hilorca, which occurred on March 18 in Porto Velho, was arrested during an operation carried out by the Public Ministry of Rondônia (MPRO), authorized by the Court of Justice, in addition to searches, determined by the 1st Court of Porto Velho District Jury Court.

According to the MP, the steps were necessary to instruct criminal action filed by the 39th Public Prosecutor’s Office and referring to the homicide that killed Thiago. One of the arrested defendants and two other as yet unidentified accomplices shot the victim to death, allegedly motivated by “settlement of scores”, “due to the fact that the victim had participated in the theft of a vehicle, money, other valuables and 23 kg of “crack”, says the MP in a note. “The accused and his accomplices allegedly kidnapped the victim, took her to another location and executed her. He was preventively arrested at the request of the Civil Police, during the investigation, but was granted freedom by the 1st Jury Court in the sentence, which admitted the accusation and ordered the case to be submitted for trial by the Popular Jury Court. ”.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office, unhappy, appealed to the TJRO. The judges accepted the arguments in the appeal from the 39th Public Prosecutor’s Office and ordered the issuance of a new preventive arrest warrant. To enable the execution of the arrest warrant, it was necessary to issue search warrants to allow entry into the houses and places where the wanted person was hiding. of the MPRO Special Group to Combat Organized Crime (GAECO). Several preparatory steps and monitoring were carried out until locating the fugitive’s hiding place in a location located in the rural area of ​​the capital.

During compliance, two firearms and ammunition for permitted use were found in the possession of the accused, duly registered with the Brazilian Army, as he would be licensed as a hunter, sports shooter and/or firearms collector (CAC). However, a 38 caliber revolver without registration and without a license issued by the competent authority was found in the possession of another man who was in one of the search locations and was arrested in the act of committing the crime of illegal possession of a firearm. of permitted use (art. 12 of the Disarmament Statute).

The person accused of double homicide will await the trial session by the Popular Jury Court and, if convicted, may receive a custodial sentence of 12 to 30 years in prison.
