Microsoft had already confirmed that it will stop supporting Windows 10 in October 2025, but as with all previous versions of the system, the company will also provide packages for business users to expand support for the system, guaranteeing a little more time to update their IT parks.

The Extended Security Program is a dedicated Microsoft program focused on continuing to provide updates for the operating system after official support ends. With this, Microsoft is preparing to launch this program for Windows 10, and now the price is known for those who want to use it.

According to the message published on the company’s official blog, it will charge business users who want extended support for the system up to 61 dollars, per year and per computer.

The program allows you to extend the support period by three years, and users who wish to obtain this additional period must purchase packages from previous years.

The company indicates that the Extended Security Program should not be considered a long-term solution. It is only intended to ensure that administrators have additional time to update systems to newer versions, and should not be an alternative to using a newer, supported version of Windows.

As with previous versions of the system, this update is only aimed at business Windows users, and not at regular system customers – home users.
