Man who killed his own daughter was killed in jail

The man who killed, burned and threw the body of his own 18-year-old daughter on Avenida 23 de Maio, in São Paulo, was killed in jail. According to information from Brasil Urgente, Wellington Silva Rosas was found dead inside the Pinheiros Provisional Detention Center II. He had been in prison for a week.
The information indicates that Wellington and other prisoners were removed from the cell and taken to the Detention Center infirmary, so that renovation work could be carried out there. A short time later, screams were heard and he was found dead. The suspicion is that Wellington was choked after harassing one of his cellmates.
Wellington confessed to the crime to investigators at the homicide department. He would have killed his daughter, Rayssa, to target her mother, after the relationship between him and his wife ended. The man lured her to his house, the two argued and he allegedly choked her.
The man spent the night and the next day with his daughter’s body at home, before deciding what he would do. He allegedly left his apartment with Rayssa’s body inside a cardboard box and abandoned her body on Avenida 23 de Maio, in addition to setting fire to the young woman’s body.
