At least 10 people were injured and a non-residential building was damaged in a new Russian attack with two missiles against Kiev, the mayor, Vitali Klitchko, said this Monday.

“There are already 10 injured in the Pechersk district of the capital. Two of them were hospitalized”, although a 16-year-old girl has already been discharged, according to the mayor, who explained that as a result of the Russian attack “there was no impact on residential buildings of several floors”.

However, rescuers are removing rubble from a three-story state educational institution, which was damaged, and windows were broken in adjacent residential buildings.

The head of the Kiev Military Administration, Serguei Popkohighlighted that in addition to the damaged non-residential building in the Pechersk district, missile fragments caused damage to a multi-storey building in the Solomiansk district and, in the Dniprovsk district, rocket parts also fell.

In Darnitski district, a non-residential establishment was affected.

The Ukrainian Air Force explained that Russia attacked the capital with two ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimean peninsula and that both were destroyed.

In response to yet another attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted that he will not tire of repeating that “Ukraine needs more air defenses.”
