“[…] We will look for ways to overcome illegal obstacles, unfair competition and illegal actions,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said at a press conference.

Peskov denounced “attempts to expel Russia from the energy markets”, stressing that increasing prices is, above all, in the interests of the United States “and other countries”.

Asked about the possibility of banning the transfer of Russian LNG (liquefied natural gas) from one ship to another during transport on the high seas, the Russian spokesperson said he did not want to anticipate new sanctions, despite noting that Russia does not accept the same “under any circumstances”.

The West has already applied 13 packages of sanctions to Russia, which continues to export gas and LNG, redirecting its supplies.

Russia wants to increase its gas exports (through pipelines) by 11% this year and LNG exports by 14%.
