Lisbon slightly down. BCP and EDP family put pressure

After a return from Easter on the rise, the main national index slightly depreciated this Wednesday, with BCP and EDP losing more than 1%.

The Lisbon Stock Exchange closed slightly loweron a day when the main European markets traded mostly higher.

The PSI dropped 0.05% to 6,304.03 points, with nine listed up, six down and one unchanged, Greenvolt.

BCP led the losses, after four sessions of consecutive gainsdropping 1.34% to 0.3098 euros, thus falling below the threshold of 31 cents per share.

Accompanying the bank was EDP, which depreciated 1.28% to 3.556 euros. Also among the biggest losses was EDP Renováveis, losing 0.65% to 12.31 euros – the lowest value since June 10, 2020, even after announcing this Tuesday that, through its North American subsidiary, secured an energy storage service agreement with the Redwood Coast Energy Authority.

On the positive side Semapa jumped 1.74% to 15.22 euros, reaching highs of June 2022while Sonae gained 1.47% to 0.898 euros.

Closing the podium Galp reached a new high on October 10, 2018, adding 1.05% to 15.885 eurosat a time when oil prices continue to appreciate.

Still among the heavyweights, Jerónimo Martins advanced 0.33% to 18.49 euros.
