Jacques Costa was outraged by Catherine Miranda, during the Big Brother gala this Sunday, March 31st. The competitor even thought about leaving the house, as Leokádia said during the leader’s lunch.
This afternoon, April 1st, Jacques’ family/friends who manage his Instagram account issued a new statement with clarification.
“In the midst of all the hateful messages we have been receiving, messages of support and concern have also reached us. This statement serves to clarify some of the concerns that have been raised regarding Jacques’ stance on the game.“, could be read at the beginning of the statement.
“The Jacques that his friends and family know is a happy, charismatic, humble and empathetic person. Unfortunately, that is not what has happened beyond the screen. It is important to recognize that although the topics covered by Jacques are extremely important, perhaps the program is not the best space to present these issues. There were several reasons that led the 20 contestants to participate in the program and we know that the reason that led our Jacques to compete was the opportunity to promote empathy and awareness of these same topics.”clarified the family.
“As a person interested in debating issues of importance to society, Jacques is always willing to listen to other people’s opinions, even if they don’t agree with her own. Because only then can we open up space for debate. At this time, we wanted to ask you to join us in sending Jacques love and support. We will strive to create an environment of respect and empathy, both inside and outside the Big Brother house.”, finished.
