Abby and Brittany Hensel are among the most famous Siamese twins of History. The sisters’ trajectory caught attention in the United States in 1996, during an appearance on the popular The Oprah Winfrey Show.

A phenomenon in the United States, they even won a reality show that portrayed their routine. Afterwards, they became teachers.

In recent days, the sisters have become a topic on social media. This is because internet users discovered that Abby is married. The ceremony took place in 2021, reported on the Today program.

She, who is 34 years old, married Josh Bowling, who is nurse and Army veteran from United States. On the twins’ social networks, it is possible to find records of the party.

With the repercussion on social media, the sisters published a video on TikTok showing old cases of Siamese twins: “The internet is even noisier today”, they wrote. “We’ve always been around.”

The sisters’ lives

Dicephalic Siamese twins, Abby and Brittany have the same bloodstream and organs below the waist. While her sister who got married controls the right side of her body, Brittany has the left.

When they were born, their parents chose not to resort to separation surgery, after all, it was considered risky. However, they grew and overcame daily challenges. They got their driver’s license, traveled to Europe and work as teachers.

“Math and science are my strong suit,” Abby explained on the TLC reality show. “Brittany is more focused on language arts, reading, things like that.”

Patty Hensel, the twins’ mother, revealed during the 2003 documentary ‘Joined for Life’ that her daughters were thinking about children in the future.

Also in the documentary, Britanny confirmed her desire. “Yes, we will be mothers,” she said. “We haven’t thought about how being a mother will work yet. But we’re only 16 – we don’t need to think about that now.”
