The professional life of Tony Carreira made him more absent from home in the first years of his children’s lives. Now that he is the father of the little one Lucasone year old, David Carreira has another perspective on his father’s absence.

“Being a father gives me a different perspective on my parents because you begin to understand the difficulties, the choices. Sometimes I go to a concert and just seeing Lucas looking at me saying ‘goodbye’… it’s terrible to have to leave and travel three four hours to give a concert and he just said he wanted me to stay at home or Staying at home to watch another cartoon makes things more complicated.”he explained.

The reason, as he said, is simple: “It’s been 13 years, 12 tours, now the ninth album will be out soon, several soap operas, some films, several projects. I almost didn’t stop for those 13 years and then I came to this conclusion, now with a son who is one year and two months old. In a year and a half, when the tour ends, he will be three years old.”said.
“I want to be with him more, to be able to enjoy it, to continue making music, but the fact that I won’t be on tour for a while will give me the chance to be more at home”he added.
