In the last week, five deaths from covid-19 were reported. Of these, three were patients living in the DF, one from Goiás and the other from Minas Gerais. The five patients had comorbidities. One of these deaths occurred in December last year and the other four were in 2024. Two victims were over 80 years old.

Since the beginning of the pandemic until March 30 of this year, the federal capital has recorded almost one million cases of covid-19 (942,496). Of this total, 929,763 (98.6%) have recovered and 11,995 (1.3%) died. Most cases (837,970 or 88.9%) were in DF residents; the other 60,354 (6.4%) are from other states. The surrounding municipalities account for the largest proportion of occurrences, with 44,638 (4.7%).

Prevention

SES-DF makes the covid-19 vaccine available, from Monday to Friday, at various vaccination points for priority groups. Those who have never had it can start the primary vaccination schedule (D1 + D2) or complete it with the monovalent or bivalent vaccine.

Seeking to increase protection, the Ministry of Health decided to include Covid-19 doses in the national childhood vaccination calendar. The age range is 6 months to 4 years old.
