Just a few days away from celebrating its 53rd anniversary, Shannen Doherty reveals how he prepared himself to die. The actress, who is fighting stage IV breast cancer, shared on Let’s Be Clear podcast which has been your priority lately.

“Right now, my priority is my mother.”he stated, referring to Rose Elizabeth. Concerned about her mother’s well-being in the event of her death soon, Doherty has been making some important decisions.

The artist revealed that she is meticulously analyzing her belongings – from those she has at home to those in storage units – and separating everything she intends to keep, donate or sell, in order to save Rosa work.

In this sense, Doherty mentions the house he has in Tennessee, which he dreamed of transforming into a sanctuary for himself, his mother and rescued horses. And it was precisely this dream that caused him great conflict.

“It was very difficult and emotional“, he revealed, sharing that he felt he was “throw the towel on the floor“. In this way, she says that her mother’s support was fundamental, as it allowed her to look at the situation from another point of view.

Despite not being able to transform the house as she would like, the actress realized that she could help horses anyway, going to already established rescue institutions. “I can still live my dream of helping horses“, he later acknowledged.

And it was this change that had a greater impact on the actress, who confesses that she began to look at the act of “letting go” as a strategy to focus on what matters most – creating memories with her loved ones – rather than a defeat against the disease.

“It allows me to travel more because I’m making money, I’m selling things“, he exemplified, referring to the goods he has already managed to sell.

It should be remembered that the actress was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, going into remission two years later. However, the disease returned with great aggression and, in 2023, it was discovered that it had already metastasized to the brain and bones.
