Pinda presents 43 more professionals to work in neighborhood health units

Pindamonhangaba City Hall introduced 43 more health professionals to work in the city’s health units. Hiring had already been planned since public competition 001/23 was held in April 2023.
This is the second presentation by health professionals in less than two weeks. Last week, 90 professionals were introduced to work in emergency care units dedicated to dengue. The hiring was carried out on an emergency and temporary basis and aims to assist dengue victims.
Now, 43 more new professionals have been introduced. However, this time the focus is on neighborhood health units and hiring is through competition.
The 43 new employees are made up of 23 community agents, 17 nursing assistants, a PSF doctor, a nurse and a PSF nurse. Since the start of the call for those approved in public competition 001/2023, the City Hall has already called 559 people, 132 of which are for the health sector.
Mayor Dr. Isael Domingues welcomed the new professionals and said that they have a very important mission. “Your job is to take care of people. Serving people and giving the best of each person to provide excellent service and improve people’s lives. Therefore, when serving each person in the neighborhoods or units that you are assigned to, do so with great respect, great affection and put yourself in the other person’s shoes. I am sure that each of you will do the best you can and we will increasingly provide more dignified service to the population.”
The vice-mayor, Ricardo Piorino, highlighted “the challenge of working in an area that demands a lot from each professional. Health is a delicate area because you deal with lives, pain, feelings. It is a very important area of public management. This is another big step that our management is taking to improve and humanize health care.”
The Assistant Secretary of Health, Luiz César Vieira, who represented Secretary Silvia Mendes, in the presentation, highlighted the City Hall’s “commitment to hiring in an assertive manner, prioritizing the most evident needs. We made an emergency contract last week exclusively for dengue fever and now these professionals from the competition arrive to work mainly in health units in the neighborhoods”, he added.
