Furthermore, these substances also work to prevent heart disease and vision problems, while nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E and antioxidants strengthen the immune system.

The carotenoids present in papaya, especially beta-carotene, are highlighted as essential components for health. Studies show that a significant amount of beta-carotene is absorbed into the bloodstream after eating fresh papaya.
