Five health units will be open this Saturday (26) and Sunday (27) to provide care for people with symptoms of dengue, chikungunya and zika in Belo Horizonte. Those who experience symptoms such as fever, muscle and joint pain, red spots on the skin, headache or pain behind the eyes, nausea or vomiting can visit these places.

Temporary Hospital to Care for Dengue Patients – Venda Nova

  • Rua Padre Pedro Pinto, 173 – Venda Nova
  • Opening hours: 7am to 10pm

Temporary Hospital to Care for Patients with Dengue – West

  • Rua Santa Cruz, 137 – Alto Barroca
  • Operation: 24 hours a day
  • Avenida Risoleta Neves, 2,580, Novo Aarão Reis
  • Operation: 24 hours a day

The Municipal Health Department has been monitoring epidemiological and assistance data in the capital on a daily basis and, if necessary, new units can be immediately reopened.

To date, 42,583 cases of dengue have been confirmed in Belo Horizonte. Another 112,006 cases have been reported and are pending results of laboratory tests and epidemiological assessments. 16,150 cases have already been discarded.

In relation to chikungunya, there are 3,132 confirmed cases, of which 204 are indigenous cases, nine imported cases and 2,919 cases from a place of undefined origin. There are 1,244 reported cases pending results.

For Zika, nine cases of Zika were reported in Belo Horizonte and, to date, none have been confirmed. There are six cases discarded and three pending results.
