The current situation in which some political actors, irresponsibly, have placed the country is a painful portrait of the total lack of sense of the State that they should be forced to have”. The statement is made, in a press release, by the District of Beja do Chega.

The note signed by Mário Cavaco, president of the District of Beja do Chega, reveals that “after the elections, faced with such an expressive result, which favored an absolute right-wing majority, what was expected, on the part of these political actors, was a sense of State”.

Mário Cavaco states that “there was a party that stood out for its humility and commitment to the well-being of the Portuguese”, referring to Chega, which recalls having given a voice to “the more than one million and one hundred thousand Portuguese, offering their collaboration in the expectation of a stable government for the next four years, showing with this gesture, a sense of State above the average of the existing political class”.

The same source also says that “at this crucial moment, it is vital that we remain focused on the uncompromising defense of the Portuguese and Portugal as a whole, we must maintain the Union for the common good, leaving aside party divisions and working together to build a better future for all citizens of this country”.
