Video reveals Morocco, Spain and Portugal’s candidacy for the 2030 World Cup

Coordinator of the candidacy of these three countries for the 2030 World Cup, Portuguese Antônio Laranjo indicated that the final of the tournament will be in Spain or Moroccoif the campaign is successful. Portugal does not have a stadium with a capacity for at least 80 thousand people, and will not expand the capacity of the current arenas.

The stadiums in Portugal will be: Estádio da Luz, Alvalade, in Lisbon, and Dragão, in Porto.

The joint candidacy also presented its ambassadors. In the case of Spain, there are striker Morataone of the current captains of the Spain national team, and Iniestaone of the greatest stars in the history of the national team. Other names mentioned were Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo, from Portugal, and Hakimi, from Morocco.

The presentation in Lisbon sought to highlight the strengths of the three nations’ candidacy, such as the football infrastructure, the short commute between the countries, and the passion of the host populations.

— We have different customs, different traditions and, even so, it is clear that working together we will have much more in common than the differences. Our logo represents key elements of our geographic location, the sun, an element that makes our countries tourist destinations in the world — commented António Laranjo.
