Hospital Serra da Estrela de Oliveira Cheese Festival with more than 200 exhibitors: Gazeta Rural

The Hospital’s Serra da Estrela de Oliveira Cheese Festival, which takes place on the 23rd and 24th of March, brings together a range of exhibitors and five certified cheese dairies in the municipality, producers of Serra da Estrela cheese and cream cheese, with the Denomination of Protected Origin.

The cheese factories Dos Lobos, Estrela Artesanal, “Ferreira da Estrela”, Queijaria dos Lameiras and Quinta do Cruzeiro do Seixo are the five producers of Cheese Serra da Estrela DOP de Oliveira do Hospital that are present at the biggest Cheese Festival in Portugal.

These producers are joined by other shepherds and cheesemakers in the municipality, in an event that has 226 exhibitors, selling crafts, gastronomy and endogenous products.

The event, which has been presented internationally and nationally throughout the month, was officially presented in Oliveira do Hospital on March 19, in one of the grazing areas of the Dos Logos cheese factory, in Gramaços.
