Founded in 2015, the Braga company ‘Microbox’ has been a regular presence at the International Agriculture, Livestock and Food Fair since 2016.
With headquarters in Nogueira and a second sales stand in A-zurara, municipality of Vila do Conde, ‘Microbox’ sells and provides after-sales assistance for light quadricycles, vehicles that can be driven by drivers aged 16 and over with AM, B1 license or moped license issued before March 2005.
The so-called microcars have registered a growing attraction, particularly among young people, says Marcos Peixoto, CEO of the company, who sees events like Agro as an interesting showcase for contacting a wider public.
‘Microbox’ sells new light quadricycles from the brands ‘Ligier’ and ‘Aixam’ and used from these and other brands, in addition to offering a workshop for review and maintenance of this type of vehicle.
António Ribeiro, from the ‘Microbox’ commercial department, highlights the great evolution that light quads have seen in recent years, in terms of mechanics, safety, design and comfort.
‘Microbox’ already sells 100% electric versions of this type of vehicle.
A sole proprietorship, ‘Microbox’ was certified, in 2023, as a ‘Top 5%’ company, for the second consecutive year, among SMEs, in terms of performance and financial strength (ScorePME method).
Company officials are satisfied with the results of their presence at Agro, with a stand outside next to the agricultural machinery sector.
Participation in the Braga Agriculture, Livestock and Food Fair, as well as in several other annual fairs in the region, results in some sales, but above all in gains in notoriety among potential customers in areas with more rural characteristics, where light quadricycles have great penetration.
At Agro, in addition to several models, ‘Microbox’ presents an open box van, with electric traction, a vehicle suitable, among other functions, for urban cleaning services.
‘Microbox’ also offers financing solutions for the acquisition of new and used vehicles by individuals and business customers.
