Easter in Alentejo: Hotels anticipate maximum capacity with a record in Tourism.

This year promises to break records in the tourism sector, with several accommodation units in Alentejo anticipating full availability for the next weekend.

During the Easter period, hotels in Évora are expected to exceed an occupancy rate of 70%. However, for the weekend expectations are even higher, with some units expected to reach maximum capacity.” The perspective is of an almost full house. We still have some rooms available, but we expect a very busy Easter, with an excellent occupancy rate expected”, shares a hotel manager.

Currently, occupancy stands at 76% during the week, increasing to 90% at the weekend. This trend of high demand can be seen throughout the Alentejo, where this year’s Easter is expected to surpass the previous year’s numbers.

“We have very satisfactory occupancy, ranging between 75% and 90%. We look forward to the visit of many Portuguese, as well as Spanish, whether in Alto Alentejo, Évora, next to Alqueva, on the coast or in Baixo Alentejo”, José Santos President of Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo told SIC noticias.

Optimism is palpable among professionals in the sector, who are preparing to welcome visitors with a wide range of activities and special menus.
