Originating from the Institute of Literature and Tradition Studies (IELT) at Nova FCSH, its team includes a group of teachers and researchers who have encountered ghosts, through different paths, in their readings and approaches to books, films, photography or other artistic objects.

The Ghost Stories cycle was born from these meetings and from a collaboration with Medeia Filmes, and brings together a set of five films from different moments and contexts in the history of cinema that have a special relationship with the ghost, or with the spectral issue. The ghosts that these films evoke – real or metaphorical, figures from time, death, life or cinema itself – will be discussed, after the films, in a conversation between a guest and a researcher from the GHOST team.
