Children and young people from Santa Teresinha and Santo António homes visited the Lisbon Zoo and Oceanarium

Children and young people from the homes of Santa Teresinha and Santo António, in Viseu, recently traveled to Lisbon on a trip paid for with the amount raised in the seventh Viseu Xmas Run, held in 2022.

The youngest were able to “experience a unique experience, thanks to the solidarity shown by the people of Viseu who participated” in the solidarity event, highlighted the Chamber.

The trip held at the end of March included visits to the Lisbon Zoo and Oceanarium.

“This initiative not only provided moments of happiness and fun, but also promoted values ​​of solidarity, sharing and inclusion, reinforcing the commitment of the Viseu community to the well-being and development of its children and young people”, defended the municipality.

The trip to Lisbon was attended by the councilor for Education, Pedro Ribeiro, who highlighted that “these experiences do not end with this visit”, with a visit to “one of the largest mountain water parks in the Iberian Peninsula, as soon as the summer to arrive”.

At the 2022 Viseu Xmas Run, five thousand euros were raised for the homes of Santa Teresinha and Santo António.
