Armamar Chamber opens applications for granting scholarships

Local authority will provide scholarships to higher education students in the municipality during the current academic year

The Armamar municipality will award scholarships to university students living in the municipality during the current academic year (2023/2024).

Applications opened on Wednesday (April 24th) and will continue until May 9th. Interested students and student workers can apply online, at the Chamber’s electronic counter, or in person, at Balcão Único.

According to the municipality, the award of the scholarship implies that the candidate has resided in the municipality “for at least one year” and that he or she studies a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or higher professional technical course in the national territory.

“Academic achievement in the 2022/2023 academic year is also a mandatory requirement, with exceptions. Applicant students cannot hold an academic degree equal to or higher than the one in which they are enrolled”, adds the Chamber.

The municipality justifies the scholarships with the need to renew “the investment and commitment in matters of education and teaching of higher education students, promoting equal opportunities, the continuation of studies and the consequent training of senior technical staff”.
