The North American box office is being boosted by two sequels, which compete for the top 10 spot, “Dune 2” and “Kung Fu Panda 4”. This week, the film starring Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet took first place, with US$39,540,626. The Dream Works animation grossed US$38,693,600.

Among U.S. premieres, “A Proof of Courage” comes in third place, winning U.S.$10,270,255. Eighth to tenth place, “One Life”, “The American Society of Magical Negroes” and “The Ark and the Darkness” are the new titles, which are beginning to move the American cinematic economy, yet to be released in Brazil.

In the parallel market, “Matador de Aluguel”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, comes in first place. Followed by “Madame Teia” and the Oscar winner for best film “Oppenheimer”.
