The most popular romantic comedy of recent times is coming to streaming! “Everyone But You” will be available on Max, formerly HBO Max, starting this Friday (29), less than three months after its release in Brazilian cinemas.

Based on “Much Ado About Nothing”, a work by William Shakespeare, the film follows Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell). The two have a dream first date, but a misunderstanding takes them from love to hate.

When they are invited to the same wedding in Australia, they decide to hide any dislike and pretend romance to avoid problems with friends and family.

Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet and Rachel Griffiths form the cast with Sweeney and Powell. Will Gluck takes over as director, in addition to writing the script in partnership with Ilana Wolpert.

Sweeney and Gluck are still part of the production team alongside Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Jacqueline Monetta, Alyssa Altman, Catherine Bishop, Natalie Sellers, Jonathan Davino, Charlie Corwin, Sidney Kimmel and Mark O’Connor.

“Everyone But You” became a box office success, grossing more than $200 million in theaters around the world. The number was the highest achieved by a romantic comedy since “Bridget Jones’s Baby” (2016) and by a live-action of a Shakespeare work.
