The killer doll will return to theaters
Don Mancinicreator of the franchise Chuckyalso known as Assassin ToyO, confirmed that he is working on a new film focused on the character. In an interview with the podcast Scream Dreamthe screenwriter said that he is in the early stages of writing the film.
“I’m actually in the early stages of a new Chucky movie as well. Right now my goal is to just keep working, whatever keeps me working I’m very happy.”
This will be the first time the character has returned to theaters since 2017. It is worth remembering that, in 2019the origin and story of the killer received a reboot with Killer toybut, despite the identical look and title, the production deviated from the original concept of the production of the 80s.
Chucky was one of the highlights of the horror world in 2021
In 2021Mancini returned to the writer’s chair with Chuckya series with several classic characters from the films, such as Tiffany, Andy Barclay It is Nica Pierce.
