In addition to Avengers: Kang Dynasty, scheduled to debut in 2026, Marvel is also developing Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled to debut in 2027.
Avengers: Secret Warsin fact, is the film that will close the Marvel Multiverse Saga, which began in 2021 with WandaVision, and promises to also be the peak of the use of the multiverse, with fans can look forward to many surprises and special appearances.
The film is being written by Michael Waldron, from Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but for now it does not yet have a director to lead the ambitious production.
But now we have a candidate: Sam Raimidirector of the original Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire, and who also directed in the MCU Doctor Strange 2the second biggest film in this new Marvel saga.
In an interview with ScrennGeek, Sam Raimi revealed that he would love to direct Avengers: Secret Wars, but said he has not yet received an invitation from Marvel. Check it out below:
I love 90% of the Marvel heroes I’ve read in the comic books in this universe. I would love to work with Marvel again. They still haven’t asked me reasonably. I hope you had a good experience with me. They haven’t asked me about coming back yet, but I hope so.

Avengers: Secret Wars should serve as a kind of “Part 2” for Avengers: Kang Dynasty. Initially, the films were announced to premiere in the same year, but now, 1 year difference separates them – repeating the feat of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
We still don’t have any information about the film’s plot, but this must certainly be the culmination of the entire history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That is, if you found Ultimatum great, the responsibility of Secret Wars is to be at least 3 times more.
And it is with this responsibility that Michael Waldron takes on the film’s script. The screenwriter is known to Marvel fans for his work on the critically acclaimed first season of Loki and the divisive Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
