“The Lord of the Rings”, Peter Jackson’s unforgettable trilogy, is back in theaters with improvements!
The saga began almost 90 years ago with the publication of “The Hobbit”, a children’s book that quickly became part of the history of literature and popular culture.
However, it was only at the beginning of the millennium that it reached the level we know today. Peter Jackson’s trilogy composed of “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” were a breath of fresh air for fantasy in cinema and revealed the incredible world imagined by JRR Tolkien the millions of people all over the world.
Since then, the saga has never lost its popularity thanks to the various games released, the “The Hobbit” trilogy and the new Prime Video series, “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”.
BEFORE THE NEXT FILM IN THE SAGA, THERE IS A SURPRISE!
The next big film in the saga, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim”, premieres on December 13, 2024. The anime tells the story of the King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand, at a crucial moment in the history of his people. After the death of Wulf’s father, Lord of Dunlending, he demands revenge.

THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY IS RETURNING
Warner Bros. has teamed up with Fathom Events to bring Peter Jackson’s unforgettable original trilogy to theaters again. The versions shown will be Peter Jackson’s expanded editions and also versions that the New Zealand director remastered in 2020 for a 4K Ultra HD re-release.
The trilogy will be shown in AMC, Cinemark and Regal cinemas between the 8th and 10th of June this year – one film each day. So far it will only be broadcast in the United States of America.
In Portugal, the official distributor of the trilogy is Cinemundo and, in case of news, we will be attentive to report first hand.
