O Rúben Amorim’s name is gaining more and more importance among the giants of European football. In addition to Liverpool, which can no longer move forward with the signing of Xabi Alonso, there are two other ‘heavyweights’ interested in the Sporting coach: Chelsea and Barcelona. The information was revealed this Tuesday by Florian Plettenberg.

The German journalist states that Liverpool is the club that looks at Amorim as a more serious candidate to succeed Jurgen Klopp, but also highlights that the Portuguese coach is very well regarded in Catalonia, with Xavi Hernández leaving at the end of the season, while that Chelsea is also keeping an eye on his evolution, especially because Mauricio Pochettino’s adventure is not going as expected.

Plettenberg also explains that the tactical system used by Amorim at Sporting is also an advantage, due to the “enormous offensive range” that he is able to impose on his teams.

It should be noted that Rúben Amorim has already admitted that his future at Sporting will be in question if he does not win any title this season. The lions, remember, are currently at the top of the I League and are in the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup.
