CF La Nucía athletes found a knife next to their vehicles inside the club’s facilities

CF La Nucía, a team from Spain’s lower divisions, has experienced an unpleasant situation in recent hours that has, naturally, left the players furious. The team, which according to the country’s press has not received salaries for almost three months, was fighting to stay in the championship where it was but was unable to avoid relegation and, when they returned from their last trip, to Terrassa’s home, the athletes found themselves with a chaotic scenario… within the club’s facilities.

“The journey was seven and a half hours there and the same way back. All day. The players did it to help the club, so we could put a lack of salary into our account and so that there could be smaller expenses . The situation within the club is complicated, there are people in need. This Sunday, they tell us that everyone has to travel, even the injured. We can’t understand. And, when we arrived at the club’s facilities at 3:45 am, we found nine cars with the tires punctured by a knife. All the cars except, by the way, those of the technical team. Who could it have been? We don’t know, but we have our suspicions. There are thousands of euros in losses. The cars are in a space that belongs to La Nucía and has gates, not just anyone has access”, explained a member of the team to ‘Marca’.

However, the CF La Nucía squad issued a statement guaranteeing that the knife used to cause damage to the cars was left in the same location as the incidents, which will be investigated.
