Last week, great details regarding the specifications of the PS5 Pro emerged on the internet showing that Sony’s new console should be really powerful. Now, another big insider has just revealed some more details.

On the Insider-Gaming website, Tom Henderson, without revealing his sources, released some information regarding the system’s memory and also the way its CPU works. To begin with, the PS5 Pro will have memory that reaches rates of 576 GB/s, an increase in bandwidth of approximately 28% compared to the traditional PS5.

On the other hand, the CPU of the Pro version of the Sony console will be the same as the PlayStation 5, but one feature should make the difference. Called “High CPU Frequency Mode”, the feature should increase the CPU clock by up to 10%, making it reach 3.85 GHz and work faster.

When the “High CPU Frequency Mode” function kicks in, more power is allocated to the CPU while the GPU stops for a downclock of approximately 1.5%. This, in practice, means that the CPU will still work quickly, but the GPU will lose approximately 1% of performance.

Another new feature revealed by Tom Henderson is that the PS5 Pro has a higher ACV clock rate, which results in up to 35% more performance for the ACM library. For gamers asking what this means, basically Sony’s new console will offer a more immersive experience with reverb processing, FFT and IFFT.

PS5 Pro could be 45% more powerful

The information provided by Moore’s Law Is Dead at the beginning of the week also indicates that the PlayStation 5 Pro could be up to 45% more powerful than the standard PlayStation 5. Furthermore, the new console would have its own type of DLSS, supposedly superior to AMD FSR 2.

For now, it should be noted that Sony has not even confirmed that the console is being developed, let alone the information presented by Tom Henderson and Moore’s Law Is Dead about its specifications. Therefore, everything must be treated with caution and as a rumor.
