Inter (INBR32) launches international wealth management and fixed income area in dollars By Investing.com

Investing.com – Inter (NASDAQ:) announced this Wednesday, 13th, the launch of the international wealth management area, which will be led by Andre Cardoso, and targets the foreign market with new products. The digital bank enters the international fixed income market by launching Time Deposit (TD), a product similar to the well-known Bank Deposit Certificate (CDB).

With a greater product offering on the foreign market, Inter wants to target high income, which motivated the hiring of Cardoso, who was at BTG Pactual (BVMF:) for more than twelve years and has experience in local and offshore asset management.

“There is an educational gap in relation to international investments that needs to be filled. I will be happy to use my expertise to clarify the concepts of these more sophisticated assets, which often end up being seen as more complex”, highlights Cardoso.

Private fixed income securities will be available to the more than two million international account customers from this month. The TD is pre-fixed and has a minimum contribution of US$1,000.00, linked to the US interest rate. According to Cassio Segura, who leads Inter’s international expansion, the asset is not marked to market, that is, it does not fluctuate. “This predictability makes our CDB in dollars an excellent opportunity for global portfolio diversification, in a safe, democratic, and simple way”, he reinforces.

Inter also allows direct investments in shares listed on Wall Street, in addition to Reits, BDRs and ETFs. The bank’s next step will be to launch international private credit securities (bonds) and US government securities (treasuries) by April.

At 2:11 pm (Brasília time), Inter’s BDRs (BVMF:) rose 3.48%, to R$31.55.
