Ivete Sangalo talks about health and menopause symptoms: “Living the experience within my means”

The singer Ivete Sangalo shared, during an interview for her husband’s podcast, the nutritionist Daniel Cady, your experience with menopause. At 51 years old, the artist said that she preferred to go through the symptoms that are common to women after the absence of menstruation, such as hot flashes, loss of sleep quality, mood changes, drop in libido, vaginal dryness, slow metabolismbetween others.

“First thing I thought: I want to live to draw my conclusions. You have to live the situations, to draw conclusions, this is the advice I give to people (…) It’s not possible to work on a situation that’s only in the book, so I’m going to experience menopause, so much so that we barely discussed this case. I felt the horrible heat, I preferred to live it,” he said.

At the time, Veveta also recalled the period when she was pregnant with her first-born son, Marcelo Cady, when she had to use a hormone injection that affected her voice. “With progesterone I couldn’t sing a song, because I had an injection of hormones to relax those muscles, so as not to think that the fetus was a foreign body and purge. It sounded like a duckling talking. At that time I knew that. Don’t demand too much from me. It’s living the experience within my possibilities“, he said.

To deal with issues related to menopause, Veveta also reveals that she has adopted a series of precautions that involve have a healthy and balanced diet, practice physical exercise, take hormone replacement therapy and get quality sleep.
