Elma Aveiro was on the program ‘Dois à 10’ this Friday, March 29, talking to Cristina Ferreira. Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister recalled a little about her journey over these 50 years of life and, at one point, spoke about the criticism she frequently receives.
Elma Aveiro considered that, in fact, everything she has nowadays “she owes” to Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting that “family is exactly that”: “Everything I have I owe to him and people usually say ‘they live off Ronaldo’ and I say ‘what if he didn’t? it would be talked about the same’…”he began by saying.
Dolores Aveiro’s eldest daughter then considered that everything Cristiano Ronaldo does for the family is also a form of gratitude: “Before he was famous, who was with Ronaldo? Who helped Ronaldo? Sisters and mother. So, it doesn’t make sense for him to have a lot and not share it with his family. It’s not even part of the human being that Ronaldo is.”he stressed.
Elma Aveiro also assumed that, nowadays, criticism no longer affects the family as much as it did in the past: “It was very complicated, envy is complicated, they talked a lot about our private lives and it wasn’t easy. I now use silence, it is the best weapon”.
